Make a Donation Responsible Development is a non-profit corporation made up of Bellingham, Whatcom County and Skagit County residents working to ensure that neighbors determine how our neighborhoods will grow. Click here for more information on the fund. RD Legal Fund Our main project currently is to stop the proposed mega-development on Chuckanut Ridge and to create a "One Hundred Acre Wood" Park. Preserving these irreplaceable forested wetlands for the entire community to enjoy may require legal challenges with costs estimated at up to $100,000. This is not an appropriate place for “infill.” The two pictures below show how Bellingham’s southern view looks now and how it will look after the Fairhaven Highlands development is complete. Which would you rather see?
